About
I think my childhood can tell you how Wooden Hill images came to be:
A North Yorkshire Farmer’s daughter, so my love of the seasons, the countryside and outdoors is inherent.
My mum was a photographer so I grew up watching the world through the still image, holding my hands up like a frame to things I see in everyday life and picturing that moment captured as a ‘still’.
My school nourished my passion for theatre, acting, literature and believing in yourself.
University developed my love of photography , whilst gaining a First Class Communication Arts Degree.
My life and family have taught me strong values and priorities and why capturing memories is so important.
My children enabled me to make the transition from ‘playtime photographer’ to set up my own business, extend my skill and share my passion to make beautiful images.
And last but not least, my grandmas, who in more ways than I realised when younger, made me who I am, and fuelled my passion for the past, and LOTS of fresh air!
What inspires me?
SHAKESPEARE - SUNLIGHT - STOLEN GLANCES - MUSIC TO LOSE YOURSELF IN
- THE BEAUTIFUL COUNTRYSIDE - LAUGHTER - SENSING THE FEELING IN A GIVEN MOMENT - HISTORY
